Derby County and Bambang Pamungkas

Eyefootball.com reported that Derby County is interested in signing Persija Jakarta’s forward Bambang Pamungkas for next season in the Championship Division. The site wrote that Paul Jewell wants to add an experienced attacker to play alongside Emannuel Villa, the Argentinian forward. Derby County will prepare around 300,000 pounds (around 5.4 billions rupiah) for the 27 years old Indonesian international striker.

Bambang Pamungkas currently plays for Persija Jakarta, and has played most of his career in the club. Assistant Manager of Persija, M. Nigara, stated to the media that the club will ask around 15 billions rupiah (around 800,000 pounds) for the transfer fee.

Pamungkas has more than 40 caps for Indonesia bagging more than 20 goals. Bambang’s agent in Europe, Anthony van Dalen, had previously revealed that several clubs in Europe are ready to give the player a try out. However, there is no valid information about the transfer in Derby County official website. I believe we shall wait until the transfer market is open. (*)
